Well for anyone starting to get into SEO or Internet Marketing they will eventually come across a bunch of experienced internet marketers who like to say how much money they have earned and that they have quit their day jobs and are earning a comfortable amount of money selling products online and are quite happy how to let you in on their secrets - I mean how generous is that! All you have to do is cough up an email address and then you can get their free report on secrets, tips, success or how to make money online. So all you have to do is give them a communication channel - all too easy. Well maybe buy a couple of products off them or through them, you get what you want and they earn their affiliate commission. If you are interested to know more, take a look at Brad Fallon. Anyway I am straying off the point - the coolest guy on the planet - is a competition originally played out between Brad Fallon and Mike Filsaime through a Las Vegas encounter (but there are variations on the how why and the when), but it is Jonathan Ledger that sits on top of the Google rankings with Fallon at No. 2, Filsaime at No.3, Aussie Schramko at No.4, Drew at 5, Patrick from Alabama at No.6, Daniel Molano (also the Sexiest Man Alive 2010, not my words!) at 7, Jae Jans at 8, Russell Branson at 9 and finally Boyszone Lewis at No.10.So in summary format, here are the search engine standings:Google:
1 - Jonathan Ledger
2 - Brad Fallon
3 - Mike Filsaime
4 - James Schramko
5 - Peter Drew
6 - Alabama Patrick
7 - Daniel Molano
8 - Jae Jans
9 - Russell Branson
10 - Kevin LewisYahoo:
1 - Jae Jans
2 - Alabama Patrick
3 - James Schramko
4 - Jonathon Ledger
5 - Jae Jans
6 - Peter Drew
7 - Peter Drew
8 - Max Rowby
9 - Raymardo
10 - Mike FilsaimeBing:
1 - Jonathan Ledger
2 - Brad Fallon
3 - Mike Filsaime
4 - Jae Jans
5 - Alabama Patrick
6 - Mike Filsaime
7 - James Schramko
8 - Jae Jans
9 - Kimberley Kimbrough
10 - Glen WoodfinSo what about a combination of all three search engines - well I examined this scenario through Market Samurai and Bruce Clay tools. Market Samurai is a paid application and Bruce Clays is available online free.Market Samurai more or less lists the same as Google but lists 2 additional websites for both Fallon and Filsaime pushing out the bottom 2 - so what about a more accurate combination of the three - well thats what Bruce Clay's toolset purports to do... but only for the top nine and takes into ranking across the main three search engines; and the rankings for those keywords are:Search Engines Combined:
1 - Jonathan Ledger
2 - Alabama Patrick
3 - Mike Filsaime
4 - Brad Fallon
5 - Jae Jans
6 - Peter Drew
7 - Jae Jans
8 - James Schamko
9 - RaymardoSo what are the conclusions, well seems like Ledger has won it hands down with a great presence, with Fallon and Filsaime following close, Jans seems to have made double the effort with multiple websites, Schramko seems to be in the hunt and Alabama Patrick is the dark horse flying under the radar. Drew seems to be in amongst the mix too! I think these seven are the ever present ones in the world of dynamically changing search engine results for the coolest guy on the planet. They are all internet marketers after your email address or affiliate click (apart from Alabama Patrick) - which is OK, they need to make a dollar and if they are serving an audience after the same thing that they have and if they serve them well, then it is all good.So how do you get to the top 10 in the SERPS for "coolest guy on the planet?".If you have a URL with the relevant keywords then that is a great starting point, mention those keywords in your main title tag, H1-6 TAGS, your meta description tag, as well as in your main body content then you will have all your 'on page' SEO covered; coupled with relevant alt tag picture keywords and internal anchor keyword linking.Other factors to consider are your 'off page' SEO techniques, which effectively are your PageRank, amount of inbound links, inbound links with relevant linking text, domain age and links from important sites such as.edu or.govWith these factors paid attention to all you have to do is add quality relevant content about your subject - which is the most important aspect in all of this - the more authoritative you are on your subject the more respect you will get from the search engines. Why am I writing about this? Well I am learning about SEO, yes I would also like to quit my day job, work fantastic hours to spend more time with my family and earn loads of money - I have worked with computers and internet for over 12 years but not in a monetized way and not internet marketing - I now too have a website and joined in the competition for the keywords "coolest guy on the planet" currently I am sitting in the 20's on Google, have broken the top 10 in Yahoo and am yet to break a sweat in Bing, am right now testing the water in SEO and internet marketing to see if it is safe to dive in!
